About Us.

Kitty Peterson, CPA, has worked as an accountant since 1970. Originally from Sterling, Colorado, she attended the University of Southern Colorado in Pueblo, and later worked with a Big 8 accounting firm in Boise, Idaho for seven years.

As a CPA, Kitty attends continuing education courses each year, often exceeding the 40-hour minimum required of all CPAs. She’s a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Colorado Society of CPAs. Kitty has many resources to help her ensure that all accounting work done by her firm is accurate and ethical. Her strategic alliance with an attorney, located within her office building is particularly helpful when legal questions arise for some clients.

Kitty Peterson and Associates now has four bookkeepers and accountants on staff to help you with all your bookkeeping and tax-related needs. We have specific expertise in working with non-profit organizations, as well as a background in helping individuals with the tax implications of moving to or working overseas.
